Feather Down has developed an original concept of camping on the farm providing a “back to nature” and “simple life” experience to urban families, while offering high level of comfort and services. Featherdown operates a network of 400 tents located in 70 farms in the UK, Netherlands Belgium, France, Germany and Swiss.
Ambitions
The European pioneer in camping on the farm, wantsto accelerate the growth of the concept, particularly in France, where it is present with the Un Lit au Pré brand, and to double the fleet of tents.
Achievements
Since inception in 2003, Featherdown has built an attractive and sustainable business model:.
– a win-win business model with farmers providing additional revenue to farmers.
– a concept (no electricity, rustic design) allows limited maintenance capex and long useful lives, providing a good return on investment compared to other camping/glamping models.
– direct marketing and sales model through its platform.
